Egypt is a wonderfully welcoming destination and the locals are keen to chat to know tourists – come with an open mind and immerse yourself in the region’s warm culture.

It can get incredibly hot in Egypt between June and September. We recommend packing light layers and carrying water with you at all times.

Our itinerary includes visits to Egypt’s most famous temples and ruins. We recommend comfortable shoes for exploring, as well as a sun hat and sunscreen.

We spend one night aboard a sleeper train during this trip. While we travel in first class, standards aren’t comparable with back home. It’s a quick and easy way to get from A to B but be prepared for basic facilities.

Egypt observes Ramadan, the Islamic month – long festival of fasting. During this month, some services such as restaurants and cafes might not be available during the day.
